Hmmm, good one. Most places who cater for the foreigners close for a 2 month period. I wouldn´t call it lively at the moment but there´s a constant, albeit Spanish buzz.

As for shopping, there´s the Ayamonte center which is not very large and a few big commercial centers in the area (Tavira, Faro, Huelva). Ayamonte has a commercial center too (La Plaza) but it´s...

Isla Canela is situated 6 km south of Ayamonte. Ayamonte is at the border with Portugal, therefore closest airport is Faro, about one hour drive.
