Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Hey FCB
Drop me a line.
If the planets align I would be happy to give you some info, meet and/or make some introductions. Apparently the 10sih RDAs are going to be replaced with 6ish...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Halifax will ask you to send the changed materials to them.

The idea is the fed portion of the provincial pack is identical to that which is sent to the feds. Thats the idea. Clearly if you want...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Thanks vwera.
Yep, my friends waited something like 2 weeks after submitting the corrections.
I will pass on the info re your friends' 6 months PR processing time from UK.

Just so I am clear,...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

It will have to be the new one. [edit: and not the old one]
The new ones came into effect July 2013 or thereabouts.
If I recall they have the version and release date in the bottom corner of the...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Im afraid the route has (or is being) retired from service.
My knowledge is therefore obsolete, so take this with a liberal helping of salt.

Community Identified (CI) is a NS Provincial...

Sorry not exactly.
I know they were told "up to 10 weeks" and it was more like 12.
Having observed their journey...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

And yet mine took 6 months (2008/2009) and another chap is posting on here that his took 7 months (London/2012). 27 months is a bloody long time for a PNP. Especially when Paris (9 months) and Warsaw...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Oops. I should have been more specific. Let me try again.

Does anyone have a real-world processing time for:
Nova Scotia Provincial Nomination (Community Identified)
Federal pack stage.

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Incidentally, a question:

Does anyone have a timeline for NS Community identified PR application (Federal Section) from pack submission to call for passports? Mine (2008/2009) was quick: 6 months...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Hi Kayb.
Yes, 'oompa pretty much just said what I would have said.
With letters I believe more is better. In the case of my friends their pack went in with a couple of letters and then when they...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more

This is generally what I've heard except for the May 31 date.

The impression I was left with was CI in its current form was going away to be replaced by something CI-like but that takes into...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

Update:

So my friends' pack which went in on April 13th has been accepted and given a case number. The ETA for a decision is 8-12 weeks "due to a backlog" - presumably due to everyone trying to...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more after May 31 2013

I filled them in myself.
It's the only way to be sure and it save the forms waiting in the consultants inbox, outbox etc. Also saves timezone snafus and proof-read cycles. Immig consultants will...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more

Here's my latest info.
This is by no means gospel, since nobody seems to completely know whats going on.

So far I've heard the RDAs are being shut down, leading the RDAs to conclude that they...

Re: Nova Scotia Community Identified Stream is no more

Hi
Sorry if I alarmed you.
Today I called NS Immigration and they said they *are* still accepting NSPNP-CI but they don't know how long for. So I'm hearing 2 different things. Best to sit tight and...
