That's a whole different thread, though if I'm not mistaken most of these are requested by the mother. Doctors are reluctant to carry them out as they are intrinsically more dangerous.

I know what 'sidetracked' means - rarely used in a positive sense.
As for the rest of your explanation - I don't think its reasonable for anyone to expect a promotion after taking a prolonged leave...

I wouldn't put myself in a situation where I knew I would had to rely on Child Benefit, or an employer's help that's for sure.
That's pretty much all I've said throughout this thread - what's wrong...
