Actually it's quite the opposite for us. I do around 12,000km's a year here vs a good 15,000 miles in UK. Part of that is living on an Island. I can only drive so far before I fall off.;)

But I pay $1500+ for car insurance on 2006 Jeep in NL. And that's low compared to the first 3 years! Insurance in the UK was 450 quid if memory serves for a Volvo S60. So in some places in Canada...
