Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

I had two other citizenships prior to becoming a USC. It's not an issue... at least, not for the US.

Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

Hillary was more attractive when she was younger. She didn't age well. I think Michelle is quite attractive!

Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

At least Sarah Palin can doll up to look reasonably attractive... Hillary Clinton is just... well, butch!

Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

Generally, you don't need to be a USC to run for office... except for POTUS/VPOTUS and similar positions.

Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

I agree. There are many countries where the criminal justice process is too easily abused because there is no public oversight.

Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

Fair enough! :) I guess part of it boils down to how you ended up in the US. If you got here via employment, then perhaps there's no good reason to become a USC other than you can't be refused entry...

Re: Why Do People Take US Citizenship?

Even if you do become a USC there's no requirement to give up your UK citizenship, so you can continue to be proud of being British. :)
