Well, in Brisbane they have a $250 fine if you don't pick it up. I never thought I could pick up dog crap, now I do it all the time, and its not a bother! Even late at night when theres no-one...

No, definitely don't show them the pics. Its not so bad once you're in the environment (ok, it scares the **** out of you the first time, but after that it will be ok). Its like shock therapy......

Haven't heard of that as a problem here. The thing our vet warned us about alot were paralysis ticks. These little things burrow into the dogs skin and can paralyse and kill a dog in a few days.

It has been a learning experience for us too. I was always taught to kill anything that didn't belong in the house, so that meant spiders, insects, anything.

Here, I've been slowly getting more...
