Chilliwack is a small town but close enough to Vancouver for that not to matter much. I have only ever driven through it. It's one of those "drive-through-on-the-way-to-somewhere-else" towns.

Is there really a climate difference between north and south Calgary? Surely it can only be truly marginal. Chinooks don't stop at the Bow River.

I think you'll be safe in Kelowna, unless this tidal wave will overcome the Coastal Range and progress hundreds of miles inland.
