I thought I read that cards were to be replaced by certificates (...or perhaps I'm thinking of "Citizenship Cards" are now certificates)....sorry!

6-8 weeks would be fine, it's about 6 weeks now...

As I was previously advised, very little needs to be notarised. The guide tells you how to get documents notarised, but not which ones, so I think it is safe to assume that unless it STIPULATES that...

I believe the requirement is for not more than 12 months to have elapsed between medical and date application is received by CIC, not when it is processed or approved. Others will confirm or make a...

To me (similar circumstances) it means that your file is in process - even if your ECAS status is not yet updated to reflect that, but that update will probably come soon.
