It's the same thinking - the air con set up I admired was in Kuwait, so seemingly a popular way of dealing with deadly dull...

The best still I've seen was made with the copper tubing from an old wall-banger air conditioner.

If you're bored in Riyadh, have you considered taxidermy? You don't literally have to carry it out, but I'm sure you will come into contact with suitable subjects ( on two feet...) to entertain...
