Help ! What to do for fun in Riyadh ..
Ok.. so I'm female, 43, quite a bubbly personality. I've been in Riyadh 6 months and now starting to go officially mad.
Have been to Dubai a couple of times to 'unwind' but next trip cant happen for a few weeks due to husbands work schedule.
On the compound I have tried every social activity there is and am sick to death of card making, quilt stitching, yoga, pilates, bingo, beastiality and any other form of entertainment.
Yes I've done the bus trips to Deira, Kingdom, Granada, Panaroma etc etc Please tell me there is something more interesting to experience ??

Anyhow you could try a off road trip out to the edge of the world, maybe Reem racetrack or meet those people who do the desert walks (hash harriers I think?)

I was there in '83-85 (not Olaya specifically). What did I do for fun? Golf (lugging round a bit of astroturf), Moto-X (probably not great for bubbly girls), swimming, compiled the world's biggest crossword (but never published it), played endless games of backgammon with my friend Dog, bit of bridge, perfected my hand-brake turn technique (J-turns also)... God it was fun.

Im ashamed but i loledI have some female friends over there and they all say you have to socialise within good groups and make your own fun
They all brew there own wine and have compound parties every weekend
A lot of them started playing football as well as a chance to mix with men

Lol no bubbly does not mean fat , bubbly as in extrovert personality. Honestly, I don't sweat when I eat or anything and bearing in mind all the gym activity I'm fit as a fiddle.
Yep been to Edge of the World, Hidden Valley, red sands quads etc, other women on the compound are very clicky and fall into 2 categories 1) sit by the pool all day smoking and putting the world to rights 2) sports addicts that go from tennis to squash to badminton to colonic irrigation.
No , i dont have a maid as I'm really not that sad.
Yes downloaded Blue Flame (Aramco home brew guide) and now have more chemical weapons than Iran.
