Personally I suspect its worse in the UK as there are no manufacturing jobs left to soften the blow, its all service industry and financial services and the like, which is exaclty what is taking the...

Ask yourself if they are measuring in the same way, cos I remember MrsT did a lot to get the numbers down simply by only counting those claiming, as opposed to all those no longer able to claim...

Although, for a newcomer its always rougher as you have no Canadian track record for them to refer too....at least in the UK you are not up against that in addition to the tough economic times...

Maybe not as tough as the UK from what Ive heard, but its certainly not a great time to be looking Im afraid....
