"futurecast" is used by the weatherman. It means exactly the same as "forecast" but is only used when referencing a long range forecast. Not sure why "long range forecast" is not used.

I've found that funny too. Compare them to current people who want their state to secede (sp?) to create confusion and pondering amongst Americans.

A phrase that I had never heard before is being used by the local kids: "look it", meaning "look at this/that". Could just be a northwest thing. Grammar is wrong!

Does anyone actually use a "pocketbook"? The only time I ever hear it used is when Americans refer to spending cash, but everyone uses a "wallet" to keep that in. Must be one of those old-timer words.

"unbeatable savings" seems to be used by every store sale, so probably quite easily beatable in reality.
