I also went for some years in UK not watching telly, as I found I was not watching it enough to justify the ever increasing licence fee. I did always miss the wildlife programmes though, David...

I have thought for some years that they should scrap the BBC and break it up into private sector companies. It would mean adverts on all the programmes but there would be no licence to pay and no...

Yes, I hardly watched TV in UK before I came here as it seemed to be mostly rubbish anyway. The main thing I miss is the wildlife programmes, Attenborough etc.

That's good, I do feel sorry for kids who are expected to suddenly start at a school where they speak an unfamiliar language. It is bad enough for families who come up here from England to north east...

Would it not be better to find a Hungarian equivalent programme if such a thing exists, as it will help them to learn the language.

Someone told me that BBC iPlayer only works in UK, is this correct? I'm not sure how it can tell you are outside UK, perhaps it traces the IP address? Otherwise it would be a useful service for...
