Rents have gone through the roof (so to speak) way above even the inflation we have now. There was an article in El Pais recently (can't find the link now) of a basement storeroom being let for 2500€...

More by default than a planned strategy I have ended up renting out 2 properties to long-term tenants and I think the rental income is a good return on investment especially given the very fair tax...
