The only official weather station in the park is at the east gate and it has an average snowfall of 221 cm. To get 1000 cm in one winter would have made the headlines in a major way.

Considering that the average is 2.21 m per year, I have my doubts on that figure.

exactly. I find it amazing when people talk about getting 20 cm of snow and 3 foot drifts????? Just use one system...preferably the metric one !!!.

Its not often that I agree with dbd but for me golf is a wasteful blight on the landscape. Please don't refer to it as a 'sport'. :thumbsup:

My two teenagers born, raised and educated here in Canada refer to it in cm..hearing forecasts in inches, temps in degrees f, distances in miles, speed limits in miles per hour always makes them...

Thankfully we don't get forecasts in inches any more...this isn't the 1970's.....
