I agree with the OP re jobs aetc in SW we returned back in Jan 2010 I am a fully qualified accountant with 20 years expereince I got interviews but jobs already had names on I was 7 months unemployed...

I wish I could claim job seekers allowances but with the disappearing quity in the bank I have too much lol! 3 interviews in the next week fingers crossed everyone! 1 in 3 would not be bad!

Being a qualified accountant in a specilaist area I have tried every other avenue in the south west unless I travel 50 miles for a supermarket job there is none other than standing on the street...

I have been back from NZ since Jan and still no job we are now widening our search accross the south of the UK employers have become very picky and spec to the letter, ther are very few Mcdonalds or...
