Agreed, it is reciprocal, but TimFountain doesn't want to exchange a French licence for a US state license, so isn't really relevant to the discussion.

Tim already has a US license. I understand that only a few US states issue licenses that France is willing to exchange, and apparently TimFountain doesn't hold an exchangeable license.

Yes, I omitted key words, which I mistakening thought we had already established. .... As subsequently discussed, you would need to prove you had reestablished residence in the UK to take advantage...

If you're driving on a British licence and it gets lost or stolen, how do the French know that you even had a British...
