You could try pleading your case at a Boutique SNCF. Some times you get someone nice, and helpful. But like every service related issue in this country, it's hit or miss. Bon courage !:fingerscrossed:

Your passport should say "British citizen" under Nationality:

I know it feels strange, but your passport is your only proof of citizenship, you don't need to apply for any other...

The hospital only keeps birth records for 5 years. However it's possible that SA government keeps birth records for longer.

I'm not sure how it works in SA. Is Home Affairs the only government...

As long as one of your DH's parents was born in Canada, and you were born in the UK... any future children you have should be eligable for all three citizenships.
