Yes, you can lodge the paper work and go for an AOS while in the USA on the E3. The problem with that is that there is a pretty big back log of those, and its a very real...

I'm 43, and its a 2 year work visa. I have to renew every two years.

I don't mean to make it sound doom and gloom, its just real. This is what happens, this is life over here. It takes a while...

Update.
Went to the SSA (Social Security Administration) on Friday, they confirmed that my wife does not qualify for a SSN, and that they have nothing to give her that would help confirm her identy....

The interview date is 22nd of Jan.
