Hi, we too aim to be heading out there in October 2022 for lengthy stay on similar visa. Hoping to get across Easter 2022 to sort out accommodation etc. Will be good to share experiences / plans ....

Because I paid a high rate of tax (it if known as emergency tax in the UK, but not sure if there is a Canadian equivalent?) despite only small earnings and also because I didn't work in the UK until...

Question Claiming Albertan tax back once back in UK

We moved back to UK from Calgary, AB in May 2013.
My T4 has arrived and I think I should be able to claim tax back.
Can anyone advise on which forms I'd need to complete, I did claim tax last year...

Well we finally made it, we have been in Calgary a week - well in Cochrane staying with a friend - and our feet haven't really touched the ground.

Aww... Thank you! It's just keeping a roof over our heads and being able to have a social life until we find jobs that's worrying us! But, we are very determined to make every chance of this...

Any advice on job seeking sites / offices in Calgary would be helpful. Also no idea whether we are nailing our cv / resume - a uk cv seems a completely different beast to the Canadian resume

We are getting really excited, nervous, scared, worried, whole host of emotions! Moving to Calgary in three weeks. No where to live yet. Job prospects not the best.... Des is a primary school...

2012 has arrived.... We are moving to Calgary area in July and now we hav hi 2012 we are beginning to feel the pressure.
