Im a decorator by trade, but due to long term ill health (depression) my CV is patchy, so I/we think it best to have my partner as principle applicant.

You're right of course about it being cheaper - but from what I understood, I would need to do a years full time, or 2 years part time study in the UK... I figured doing the grade 12 in Canada would...

At this stage a move to Canada is still a pipe dream for me, but if I was in your shoes it would take a lot to put me off the move - fingers crossed the exchange rate corrects...

" I do not see how US purchase of British publicly floated companies effects currency. More UK companies will take their place and UK based shareholders will get their money from the takeover anyway...
