Secondary and above should suffice. (Thats what I did and I got my PR). In most countries, I think Master's education requires a Bachelor's which requires secondary school and so on ... the CIC guys...

The customs people entered my US address on their forms ... the immigration folks (for the PR card) needed a Canadian address

The cards will be mailed to a Canadian address only. I had to provide 2 passport photos along with my landing documents ... I guess that formed the basis for the PR cards.

They didnt take our pictures. In fact, I asked the CIC folks at the border and they said it is not needed.

I got to know from my friend that they have mailed the cards ... so I guess they werent...

From what I know, you need to have a valid visa to enter the USA. Consult a US immigration lawyer before you leave the US.

Folks:

My friend in Montreal informed me that the PR cards arrived this week. So, it is taking about 7-8 weeks from landing to get the PR cards as opposed to the 30 days that is quoted on the CIC...

Folks:

We landed in the 3rd week of Mar this year. We havent yet received our PR cards. I am not sure if this is a problem specific to our case.

I drove a rental car ... I did not take my car. It seemed a reasonable thing to do...

CIC called us on Dec 2nd and informed us that our case processing is complete and that we could appear in person between Dec 8th and Dec 16th at Buffalo to get our visas stamped.

We got a letter last week from Buffalo asking us to submit "proof of no record" and it went on to...
