It's very easy, they aren't looking to fail you as you've already passed a test in the UK, they just want to see that you understand the road rules here, e.g, making sure you come to a complete stop...

My OH used a rental car from Budget in Halifax, if you explain to them the situation they give you the documents you need for the test.
