Re: US to UK: Tax paperwork, audits, statute of limitations

Thanks to both of you who suggested scanning.

You're right, scanning is the way to go. Lesson learned! Scan as you go, scan as you go - ugh!

Re: Moneycorp won't transfer my money

Hi
It's not as easy as having just a UK address. The address linked to the bank account from which the funds are coming from is in CA. Apparently it applies to New York as well.

I will check...

I used Moneycorp in 2008 to transfer my pounds to dollars.

Now I am moving back to the UK and they are not able to do this (dollars back to pounds) because I live in California!

Makes no sense...

Re: Living in US with bank accounts in UK

My current account is linked to my debit card. I use my debit card to pay bills on line and in retail outlets. This increases my risk of getting my card skimmed.

This actually happened - I had...

Re: Living in US with bank accounts in UK

That's not strictly true. I am an E2 holder but I am not a US citizen or resident. However for tax purposes because I set up an LLC I am considered a US citizen and therefore must abide by the...
