Not a hope of a generic Im afraid. This is a high tech medication from Wyeth and as far as Im aware it has only been on the market 5 years. I think a patent lasts 30 years but I could be wrong....

Actually I was thinking of this because I reckon MY meds will cost approx $9000 per year however the income tax both myself and my fiance would pay far outweigh that. Add to that future stamp duty...

Thanks Lou, no Im not with an agent because up to now everything has been smooth sailing. I'm not even sure an agent could help me because the decision has been made and it IS fair.

OMG I failed the medical, or rather I "don't meet the health requirement for entry to Australia.:(:(:(

Im on a really expensive medication and I failed because of the potential cost to Australia....

I just used a good quality passport machine in Tescos for my PMV and I doubt the requirements are any way different as long as you know them that is. Don't smile etc.

If you want to get them done...

OH yeah sorry, u can drive on ur UK licence no worries. I think after a year though u are required to switch to an Aus Driving Licence but this is simple and only requires filling out of forms and...

Yes there is a points system. 12 points and ur out same as the Uk and Ireland I think. Look at this (applies to Victoria but I doubt it differs too much state to state)

Hang on a sec. It is easy to get but only if your from certain countries remember. If ur not a UK, Irish Citizen etc there is no WHV. I stand to be corrected but I think this is the case.

Just go to the Gardai, they did all mine for me, were sound and no probs withy the Embassy.

HAS - Health Assesment Service.

If your meds pop up anything out of the ordinary the CO will refer them back to HAS in Australia where medical professionals assess the reports and make a decision...
