If you dont mind me asking, what were the entry requirements for your husbands trade? How many years experience, did he have to serve an apprenticeship, what qualification types (NVQ etc) ?

I see a student visa a good way in. I mean yes its costly and risky, but for me for example, i dont have an desirable skill. So for me to have to retrain, eg. as a plumber, its would cost in excess...
