In regards to your question about fees..... If you have PR you pay domestic fees but won't be entitled to Hecs until u get cutizenship. As I understand it when you get your partner visa u normally...

Did you get an email confirming when your CO was allocated or did yhou just get an email saying PR was granted?...

This is correct. After paying our 457 priate insurance for 10 months we got a email saying they were putting the premiums up by 30%! So we cancelled the policy and applied for Medicare - cards came...

we applied for our on 9 March and are still waiting.

I recently found out that they will not grant the visa until at least 28 days before you are due to start work (as stated in the nomination)....

For the 457 to be granted you need to show that you have Healthcare in place. They ony accept a pro forma letter from the insurance company. We got ours through IMAN (i think thats what its called)...
