Do you now, I can't remember - it is not too dear - you take the phone call or message and then ring them back on your own cheaper provider. We have a Premicell system here which is very reasonable....

No, you do not need to be Spain based. BT arranged it for us and it automatically diverts all the time to our UK landline. We have done the same in Portugal and Ireland.
