Well I was told by both the agent and the developer that I could set up a Holiday Lettings Company and then let the property to tourists, but now it would seem not? Thankfully I decided not to...

No actually I am English and have been to Goa. I was very tempted by the cheap prices of property and even went as far as putting down a deposit on an apartment, but then I decided against it...

Oh thanks for the info. Hmm, well if you cannot let the property, how would you be able to "trade" the Company and comply with the rules?? How bizarre!

As it is the main route publicised by all the Agents to buying property in Goa as an NRI has ANY foreign national who purchased off plan since, say December 2005 had their completed property legally...
