i paid £1800 to an agent and had no regrets with the service. Of course med's and PC's come on top of that and TRA fees etc. oops and the visa fee :)

Im a plasterer by trade and had my visa granted as a plasterer. There are a lot of hurdles when you apply like is your husband...

not easy to comment as there are too many parameters. Such as. skills and quals both of you have, age etc etc. these details are needed to help decide which visa would cater better to your needs.

in my experience make sure the agent is MARA registered. They will usually only take you on if they have a chance (as mentioned) of you getting a visa.
