Hi folks

We have our tickets and fly out on the 7th feb !!
We have an appartment booked for 6 weeks near main beach, However need to start looking for a rental & schools.

I dont whant to Rent...

my company have paid for a fast track priority but still no news.

Applying for 457 while in Oz?

Q:

Would it damage my application if we were to holiday in Au while waiting for the 457 visa to be processed.

Or could things be speeded up by being their?

UK house market

Anyone else struggling to sell up.

Time is running out for us we had accepted an offer and the prospective purchaser has just pulled out!

Need to be in Oz by the end of January.

Its been 2 weeks since e-mail job offer, still no contracts recieved by post.:frown:
No contact from employers agent regarding starting visa process :(

Im a little concerned in getting PR on a 457 visa.
The recruitment people are all saying its straight forward application process after 3 years, however reading posts on here im not so sure.

How did you find getting a mortgage?

Im on a 457 so dont know how easy/hard it will be to get finance

I am going to offer 6 months rent up front+ bond.
It should go a little quieter by end of feb when our furnature arrives

Im moving to GC in January

I hope I dont have the same problem.
I was told you could sign a waiver not to inspect the property. Dont know if thats advisable tho!

Child benifits and medi care i think, and just about anything else you would normaly get.
In some states Ive heard you have to contribute to schools, dont quote me on this im still trying to find...

I enquired about a 121 or 856 visa and they agreed (well sort of) response below:


From memory I think permanent residency through business sponsorship requires it to be a ‘highly skilled’...
