Did you do the trip yet terrycon? If not when are you planning to as I hope to be going for it in the next couple of weeks. It seems you can take a car ferry across from Tasucu to Girne (Kirenia).

Hi Colin and Holly,

I'm not in Cyprus yet, but from what I've discovered, the excise duty is pretty steep or you can opt to apply for what they call 'relief' if the car is for your own personal...

We're coming to Cyprus on 2nd Dec with a view to finding a place to rent long term. It seems that most of the downside comments here, relate more to those who have children and are looking for work....

Thanks for the reply FlyergirlUK but it was information about the residence permit I was looking for, not the visa, which I don't need as a British citizen. Thanks anyway for the reply.
