Coming to live on the sunshine coast for the 1st time in this current economy is nearly impossible, jobs are scare a bit like the Uk, many Uk professionals have to retrain to Aussie standards,...

I live in Buderim, the rentals are from around 400 a week for something half decent, food bills for 3 i'd say $200 a week, food is expensive but aldi is a bit cheaper. Living here is not cheap,...

Help! about to go unconditional on a house, but theres no Final!

we are just about to buy a 18 yr old Queenslander, that needs a bit of tlc.
But theres no final (pass from the council), from when it was built.
Has anyone had this problem?
We are abit concerned...

hi guys
on friday 5/3, we got granted our 857 pr visa :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:
via email, it took 3 weeks longer than needed, cause of Aus police checks,
but after a yr and a bit being on a student visa...

today we were contacted by our case officer by email, we need to provide a couple of other documents and aus police checks, which we applyed for today.
Thought we might get away with uk police...

I thought a case officer generally finalised visa applications? and things only dragged on if there was a problem?
Immigration told us if the case officer had not completed in a month, to ring them....

just contacted immigration for an update-
there now processing from the 26/11
after a phone call we were told, we now have a case officer, but cause he is yet to contact us, that is all they could...

After speaking to immigration this morning, they said that the bridging visa only comes into effect after my current visa expires, next march 2011.

just spoken to the immigration, allthey said is that there very busy,still proccessing our 857 application lodged 16/11/09 nominated 16/12/09 & could take 6 -7 months, yeh right!!!!!

bridging visa A?

If you apply for a new visa while in Aus, when it gets lodged , does this automatically put you on a bridging visa A?
My situation is going from a half way through a student visa to a 857 sponsered...

When you say receipted, do you mean logged on to there system?
Our application for a 857 was sent to them on 16/11, but they say it takes 10 working days to reach there system.

The 2 yr school fees are standard, but if the individual has qualified to applly for PR after 2 yrs study then after that the school fees should not carry on, as far as I know this is the case on the...

check out the graduation visa, after u have applied for your TRA
I was told there was no school fees on it.
Best getting pro advise.
