thanks for the info. would plan to buy a villa just outside the town if we do make the move over. surprised to hear of probs in the town though as it seemed ok...?

yes we like tossal gross, looked at a couple of villas up there and told by agent that it is a good mix of spanish and expats...is that true?

was a bit of a journey of discovery, I guess. decided that we wanted to be near the coast, not in a major expat town but with some brits around.spent ages and many visits touring around but have kept...

thanks and good luck with your move. can understand why you have picked the oliva/gandia area...we have made a lot of visits to the coast between alicante and valencia and narrowed it down to this...

I found this helpful...according to this if one is eligible for treatment under the social security system, drugs prescribed by clinics for "chronic" illnesses require a 10% contribution max 3 euros...

I would be working, probably as "autonimo" so am confident about being covered but concerned about reading that only 40% of medication costs covered as my drugs are very expensive.
