Dubai to Yas Island is an awful lot different than Dubai to Abu Dhabi City.

I live in Knowledge Village which is virtually opposite the Greens and do the commute every day to Abu Dhabi Airport...

We just did the visa run to Oman yesterday (16th Jan), we got a 30 day stamp. I askd the guy if we could have a 60 day, but he said no the rules have changed, only 30 days now.

Anyone know how...

Good point, I suppose because at the moment my search is being driven by websearch's whilst I'm in the UK at the moment, I've been drawn to the "hotspots" of the ranches and Jumierah, on...

That was the impression I had about the traffic flow. Don't worry, I wont hold it against ya if I do end up in the Jumierah area and it takes me 3hrs to get to work one morning after...

I'm working on the Salahuddin Road, near the Dubai airport. Will the commute from the Jumierah area be impossible in the mornings?

Ah! Does the "singles only thing" only apply to rooms in shared villas? So If I rent a 2b/r villa for myself, there shouldn't be any problems (obviously same official rules apply etc;) )

Thanks all for the responses, like you say I'll check once I get my feet on the ground over there, but we think its a max 3x60 day visas, then she has to be away for a month before starting the cycle...
