It's been over a year since my last post so very briefly in that time I have completed and passed my NVQ3 in welding.

However because this is a workplace assessment (train2gain) it wont have...

what type of testing was involved alex_glw?

can you specialise in say mig or tig or stick? or must you be competent in all types of welding?

I would ideally like to go to Oakville, Ontario but welders arent on the OUP list for Ontario so not sure I could get a positive LMO :(

BC has welders on the OUP list but it seems that the housing...

Ok so say I go down the route of a Red Seal Equivalency exam, can I do this with no formal qualification in welding or would I be better off getting an NVQ III in welding first?

Thanks for your prompt reply

Red Seal is a recognised qualification but I would have to apprentice for it (getting too old for that) and a lot of the welders Jobs advertised donâ€™t even ask...

I'm 37 years old and have 20 years in Mig and Tig welding but no trade certs to back it up.

I know I cant weld in Alberta as you need to be a trade...

Please be careful when calculating airfreight and seafreight, it's not all about just weight they have whats called volumetric weight.

Industry standards for :-
