Re: Why isn't anyone happy for us???

Re: Why isn't anyone happy for us???

TBH I have never related the words 'having a paddy' in anyway to the Irish. I've been brought up with it meaning having a tantrum, a mardy so to speak.

But you learn something new everyday.

Re: IT'S OFF AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should have the same law in Scotland, if someone puts an offer in and it's accepted, it's set in stone and the buyer buys it!! No going back.

Re: house sale (what would u do???)

The only contact you can have regarding selling your property is your estate agents and your solicitors.

If we are dealing with a sale and the purchasers call us direct we have to refuse to talk...

We've been looking at Scarborough and Mindaire, but having hardly any experience out there, I would prefer to look at places which have what we need really :)

Re: What the Hell is a FENSA Certificate.

Same as my post from earlier. If your conservatory is under a certain size (your local council can tell you this as they make the rules :p) then you won't need building regs.

If you have gone...

Re: What if I can't sell my house in the UK?

I can't comment on the Oz prices, but UK prices aren't really slipping. The market is slow at the moment, true, the last few months have levelled off somewhat. But I doubt a price crash of any sorts...

Re: What if I can't sell my house in the UK?

You may or may not want to do it, but(!) a good Solicitor should be willing to work with you moving abroad and thus still allowing you to go even if you haven't got a firm offer on the table, so to...

Re: What the Hell is a FENSA Certificate.

That is true, your solicitors can do an indemnity policy but I'd say there is a 50/50 chance the other side will accept it. An indemnity policy still doesn't say whether they are safe or not and I...

Re: What the Hell is a FENSA Certificate.

That depends on what size it is. If it's in a certain size the council let you do it without building regs :) Just ring your local council and check with them :)

Re: What the Hell is a FENSA Certificate.

Hello! I work at a Solicitors in Conveyancing :)
