Right of Permanent Resident Fee

Am I correct in thinking I only have to pay this fee for myself and my wife with both my children (4 and 2) being exempt?

Will save me having to look up - lazy I know.

We're already here (TWP) and will only be flagpoling. As long as they'll issue the visa, I'll wait to renew - if anyone thinks there will be a problem / delay I'll renew now.

When London requests your passports for the PR visa, do they have to be valid for a minimum length of time?
