When i was there it was as follows:

patrol officers got,

white shirts (zip up front) with clip on silver buttons
black trousers
whistle n chain
badge
boots
large black holdall - to keep...

No i sent in the form (on spec) in the october 2005 - they did advertise around april/may 2006. I was then called for interview in the june 06 and was on the plane 29th sept 06.

I don't think it...

It can be a long wait. First time around - it took 9 months from application to interview, then another 3 months before i went out :(

hard to tell about the interview, she thinks it went okay and was told would hear in 2/3 weeks - but not sure when any appointment would be made.

It's not exactly a hard days work is it? i did many a 12 hour shift guarding prisoners or in custody. Take a book or ur laptop.

We didn't use the A/C much you're right. But i did have a shower twice a day and wear clean clothes - thanks very much. Food i ate plenty of basic foods, chickens, meats, rice and beans fruit and...
