Re: Stupid TWP -> PR question

Wow, that's some processing fee! In the scale of things given its the next few years of hour lives at stake its not insurmountable which I suppose is what they rely on.

Re: Toronto minimum income

No problem, it's easy to say relatively disrespectful things about people you've never met on a forum so please ignore anything I've said that might offend your friends!

Re: Toronto minimum income

That's where the likely job is. I have a friend there who has recommended it to me and me to it. It's a start anyway.

Re: Toronto minimum income

It's not really a change in career but the change from contract to permie has a drop in take home pay as a given.

The 80k is a union position so assume there will be dues but apparently there is...

Re: Toronto minimum income

Thanks, it feels doable and I'm aware that is a significant salary to some people so don't want to go waving it around.

Although I earn much more here there is more than one factor involved in...

Re: Toronto minimum income

I can't explain why we want to go, but we are prepared for a small hit to quality of life for an opportunity like this. I know the 100k job is a lot better from a comfort point of view.

I don't...

Interested too, ignore if considered hijacking but we'll potentially be commuting to York University. Very early days but want to research as much as possible.

Oh and we have two elementary...
