Ask the companies that you worked for to give you confirmation of dates and include the NI number that they used for payment. That should be sufficient.

In addition to what I have previously said. Think about this - why would the government reduce the qualifying period for a full pension if the circumstances were not right to do so ? Thewy dropped it...

Oh really ? Then why do I as an ex-serviceman who did 26yrs service get my pension fully uprated each year ? I should do because I qualified for it. In the same way I paid my National Insurance...

Ther actually seems to be a load of bull by some on this thread. It matters not whether you are wealthy or relatively poor. During your working life you HAD to pay the National Insurance payments...
