There must be some scope for house exchanges between the people who can't sell in NZ and the ones who can't sell in the UK - might be complicated but maybe it is possible - are house prices falling...

I don't eat them either, would rather chew on cardboard, but I guess the price in each country only matters relative to the wage you can earn, which for me seems to be much higher in the UK than NZ....

I think the salary for a dispensing optician is low both in NZ and the UK. I would not expect to be able to support a family on the salary, never mind take out a mortgage. If there are any...

That is better, some places said three weeks and I heard that they make you take two weeks over Christmas (albeit that your Christmas is the best time of year for the weather).
