Totally agreed, when we 1st came to Cairns we flew from Manchester to London, London to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to Cairns. The stop-over in HK was pretty brief and we arrived in Cairns pretty fresh....

Hi folks,

We are in Cairns at present, and we're looking for a bit of advice on shipping.

We bought a Toyota Rav4 Cabrio here and my partner is keen to hang on the car as she loves it bits.

Definitely, some Nokia and Sony Ericssob handsets take 21 days to obtain the code with Vodafone in the UK. Best get it sorted before you leave, I did:)

Yeah Chrissie, tri band would be fine as Australia's network runs on 900/1800 GSM frequency, the same as the UK.
There is 3G but mainly around the bigger cities, don't be taken in by Telstra calling...

Depending on who you bought your phone with, Vodafonem T-Mobile, Orange or whatever, they put a lock on so only their sim can be used. You need to contact them and ask...

You don't need anything ridiculous to register a sim in a shop, just a UK driving licence is sufficient.
First things 1st, make sure your handset is unlocked so you can use any sim card.
