Quite a change of subject from Help looking for a place in Jeddah :-)

Will have to take extra care with our 2 cats when we get them over there, thank God we're in a compound patrolled by the army...

Reading the general chat this morning sounds like there is hope out there in Jeddah. Got to be better than the UK, talk about freedom...I must have been photographed over 100 times on my way to work...

no... last time I asked if there was anyone who hated living in Jeddah and asked them to describe their experience living in compounds with the army surrounding them and dogs patrolling the grounds...

Thanks...Durrat al arrus is shut though, a couple of years ago, apparantly it's now just one big sand trap !

Good point... I will be taken around some compounds by my employers when I get there and hopefully that will be sufficient...just thought I would try this site and see if anyone already living there...

I asked a question about compounds in Jeddah and you tell me you hated Jeddah....not very useful...what has it got to do with finding accommodation ? Maybe I should have asked what's it like in...
