I just got my US citizenship -- it took 10 months. I have lived here for 15 years. And now I am going back. Have been thinking about it for months, even years, but family responsibilities held me up....

I disagree with that advice. Appications can go missing -- it happens. Applications get sidetracked -- it happens. Errors are made. None of the immigration lawyers I have used for HIB status, EBI...

The processing time should be from date received to final interview. So it looks like they are way behind with you. That is a long time to have no communication from them. I think it might be worth...

Yes, I think that is right to be nervous of stopovers. I have a naturalization application in and will have another 6 months to wait for interview but in the meantime I have been offered a job...
