I absolutely agree with you. It's also good to know that anyone can be turned into a ruthless idiot if approached and treated properly as was scientifically proved many times across the globe...

Mostly frustrated kids, with rural background, born in Oz or brought soon after, do not even speak their mother tongue. And FYI Jules, Bosnia was not exception to the rule (there are no rules on the...

IMHO, if you are over 25 years old, the academic test...

Re: Skilled visa 136

You should take the IELTS if you need extra 10 points. As I read on this forum, the native speakers usually have problems with writing.
I am not a native speaker and did not learn English in the...

Re: ACS info

Chiara,

You don't need to say that you are going to move, say you heard many people are moving and you are just interested to see what your chances are.
How? By doing skills assessment, which is...

Hi Lazar, I sent you a message.

LBF, thanks for the info. I'm sure that's correct and exactly what I’m going to do in a month or 2. Just was curious to read what other people found out and...

Re: Finding a job (should I stay or should I go)

I understood that clearly, but it means the new migrants are in big troubles.
I think I can’t provide Australian references, before I get a job in Australia. :-) (problem no. 1 – an endless loop?) ...

Re: Finding a job (should I stay or should I go)

No hard feelings, please. I mentioned the guy from Toronto just to show that sometimes you simply can’t find what you are looking for.
That’s all. In my opinion, it’s normal to contact a PR visa...

Re: Finding a job (should I stay or should I go)

Hi Dorothy,

Thanks for the first hand information and suggestions, but this is probably a more specific issue.

Re: Finding a job (should I stay or should I go)

Well, I am sure that might help, but the fact is I spent literally months on rewriting it for the ACS, used http://www.blueskyresumes.com/ ‘s guide and tested it here in 2 banks (real interviews),...

Re: Finding a job (should I stay or should I go)

That's quite possible, but it's weird that you can find many ads being reposted every ~7 days, like they can’t find what they need. And job descriptions are very tiny, maybe agencies testing the...

Hi all,

I am having a big dilemma and really don’t know what to do.

My idea of immigrating to AU was: get a visa, find a job, buy a ticket.
