You might wish to shop around for medicals as some doctors charge less than others and have shorter waiting times. I found the panel doctor in Kingston to be very efficient and value for money.

They didn't acknowledge recipt of my application. I got the permit faxed back about 5 working days later (I guess after the application and payment had been processed).
