Re: Nelson Mums

The weekend would be good. Saturday we are free all day. My little 7 month old sleeps the afternoon away and doesn't usually wake until 4/4.30 so mornings are easier or from 5pm. Or a Thursday...

Re: Nelson?

Hope it all works out with regard to your friends. I meant to say that Nelson is not the place to come to earn lots of money. The wages here are known as "sunshine wages" as people move here for the...

Re: accommodation in nelson

We rented when we got here, rather than buying straight away, just to make sure we bought in the right area. To give you an idea we paid $300 a week for a 3 bed in Richmond. The owner paid rates and...

Re: accommodation in nelson

This is the most exensve time of year to look at motels - hopefully prices will drop by Feb. If you want to rent before buying then look in Saturday and Wednesday's Nelson Mail. Renting privately is...

Re: Nelson Meetup

Sorry you're upset about Sunday. As I said by the time the kids woke up it was too late to go (and the sky looked ominious). Also not much point in posting anything on here as you'd have already been...

Re: moving to nelson in february

Hello. Nelson is a great place to live. The whole area from Nelson itself to Richmond isn't very big and the schools all have good reputations, although Henley Primary in Richmond and Nayland Primary...

Re: Nelson Meetup

Let's go for Sun 16th Dec in the afternoon at Rabbit Island - unless there is a general preference for Tahunanui if it means more people can make it. Same place as last time? The union flag in the...

Re: Meetup in Nelson

I didn't see that! I've seen them blaming all kinds for things for their defeat. The picnic idea sounds great. We could agree a time and place (tahuna or rabbit island?) and just post that we are...

Re: Recce to Nelson

We moved to Nelson a couple of months ago and love it here for all the reasons mentioned - climate (except over the school holidays of course!), scenery, pace of life. However, we'd love to get out...
