My Wife finally received her AOS appt. letter. It is for Nov. 10, 2003 at 8:30am at the Columbus, OH office. Last step and we can relax for a little while.

You can get your driver's license before your AOS. But it will expire when your Visa or other BCIS document showing legal status expires. Ohio put this law into effect due to 9/11. Here is the link:...

It took 3 weeks for my wife to get her receipt from the Columbus office. Mostly due to having to mail your I-485..., to Cleveland or Cincinnati BCIS first who then forward it to the Columbus BCIS.

Not trying to argue with you Rete but if you look at the G325A form where it says "File Number" it already has the letter "A" preprinted on the form.

And yes, the "A" number is your alien...

I am not sure if this was answered but for the AOS for K-1s the "File Number" is your "A" number that you received. It should have been on your 2nd NOA Approval letter and written in your passport...

I guess that is what the line is for. No longer good for entry and the 90 day period was activated. I did see a stamp in there with March 11, 2002 as the expiration date. 90 days after entry. But...
