We returned just over a year ago after almost 8 years in NZ.
Still busy getting used to having money in our pockets. Seem to have spent the last year cramming in all the things we missed.

What about moving to the likes of Hamilton in the north island, it had masses of construction work, and you could live outside the city in a small town, and still be in easy commuting distance.

hi there, I am in the same boat as yourself, but Kiwi grandson, now left with us in UK after mum brought him on holiday.
When we had care of our grandson in NZ, I got heaps of support from GRG...

like you, we had a decent lifestyle in the UK. Packed it all in, and went to NZ for almost 8 years. We earned a lot more than $36.000, and we could not afford holidays, nor did we have the ease of...
